Mix gently until just combined. Form into 4\u20135 oval-shaped patties.<br \/>\nBrown the Patties<br \/>\nHeat a large skillet over medium heat with a small amount of oil. Add the patties and cook for 3\u20134 minutes per side until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside. They will finish cooking in the gravy.<br \/>\nCook the Onions<br \/>\nIn the same skillet, add butter or oil. Add sliced onions and cook over medium heat for 8\u201310 minutes, stirring occasionally, until soft and lightly caramelized.<br \/>\nMake the Gravy<br \/>\nSprinkle flour over the onions and stir well. Cook for 1 minute to remove the raw flour taste. Slowly pour in beef broth while stirring constantly.
